Press conference on the citizens' programme for the Capital of Culture year

On Tuesday, 23 April at 2 pm, representatives of the media are invited to the presentation of the citizens' programme for the European Capital of Culture year in the TIETZ event hall (access via the city library).
Lord Mayor Sven Schulze, Ferenc Csâk, Head of Cultural Operations of the City of Chemnitz, Andrea Pier, Commercial Managing Director of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH, Dr Michael Kreuzkamp, Chairman of the Board of the Chemnitz Cultural Centre, and Dr Dr K. K., Head of the City Library, will be present. Michael Kreuzkamp, Chairman of the Board of Sparkasse Chemnitz, and Simone Kalew, Managing Director of GGG - Grundstücks- und Gebäudewirtschafts-Gesellschaft mbH, will provide information on the objectives, requirements and application process of the funding programme.
On 1 May 2024, the City of Chemnitz will launch the funding programme for civic engagement, with which individuals, groups and associations can implement their events and projects in the Capital of Culture year 2025. Under the title "EUJA! Initiative Projects for the European Capital of Culture Year", it supports projects both in the 30 intervention areas, the urban development project of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025, as well as initiatives throughout the city and in the digital space.
