On Tuesday, 2 September at 2 pm, the President of the Deutsche Bundesbank, Dr Joachim Nagel, and the four members of the Executive Board of the Deutsche Bundesbank, Burkhard Balz, Lutz Linienkämper, Michael Theurer and Dr Fritzi Köhler-Geib, will sign the Golden Book of the City of Chemnitz. The inscription will take place at the invitation and in the presence of Lord Mayor Sven Schulze in the Green Parlour of City Hall, Markt 1.
Representatives of the media are invited.
The reason for the visit to the town hall is the meeting of the Executive Board of the Deutsche Bundesbank, which is taking place in Chemnitz that day.
In the evening at 6 p.m., Bundesbank President Dr Joachim Nagel will also open the art exhibition "Nature and Structure. From the art collection of the Deutsche Bundesbank" at the branch of the Bundesbank in Chemnitz, Zschopauer Straße 49.
The exhibition features around 40 works of art that take up the theme of architecture and thus relate to the building of the Bundesbank branch in Chemnitz, which was designed by Spanish architect Josep Llouís Mateo.
