Presentation of the masterplan for Chemnitz Zoo

On Monday, 22 October at 11 a.m., representatives of the media are invited to a press conference in the Bürgerhaus am Wall, 4th floor, room 4.100. The masterplan for Chemnitz Zoo will be presented at the press conference.
Mayor Miko Runkel, zoo director Dr Anja Dube and the managing director of Pluswerte GmbH, Stefan Zaubitzer, will explain the master plan. In addition to a design concept, it also essentially contains a business plan.
In December 2014, the Chemnitz City Council approved a development concept for the zoo. With the involvement of external experts and the "Tierpark" working group, consisting of representatives of the city administration and the city council, the concept was updated with the aim of ensuring the long-term continued existence of the Chemnitz zoo for the population. This served as a framework for the development of the masterplan.
In June 2017, the company Pluswerte GmbH was awarded the contract for the development of the master plan with a net order volume of 49,000 euros.
