Presentation of the Kita Krabbelkäfer comic art calendar

On Tuesday, 12 March at 3 pm, the children of the Kita Krabbelkäfer will present their self-designed comic art calendar. Representatives of the media are cordially invited to this event.
Background: The comic art calendar was created as part of the "Kita & Künstler" project. The Kulturraum Stadt Chemnitz once again invited regional artists and day-care centres to collaborate creatively. Artists and daycare centre teams were able to apply with an artistic educational project. The artist Veronika Seidel designed the calendar together with the children from the Krabbelkäfer daycare centre. The calendar is available at the daycare centre for a donation.
The project ideas submitted were assessed by a jury and supported with prizes totalling a maximum of 1000 euros. The aim of the competition was to give children access to artistic education and co-creation. The competition was aimed at artists from the fields of performing and visual arts who organised workshops, courses or project days together with children aged three to six.
The entire project is funded by the Saxon State Ministry of Science and the Arts and the City of Chemnitz.
