Preparations for the start of construction of the secondary school on Hartmannplatz - tree felling required
Construction preparations for the new secondary school on Hartmannplatz will begin on Wednesday, 5 February. In addition to the erection of construction fences and containers, tree felling is also required for the construction site.
A total of 95 trees that are subject to the tree protection statutes will have to be felled. In addition, further trees and shrubs will have to be felled that do not require a permit. All necessary applications have been submitted and approved.
A total of 94 medium-crowned, high-stemmed deciduous trees and one English oak (standard) will be replanted on site as replacements.
Following the construction of a site road, earthworks and special civil engineering will begin on 2 March with excavation, interim storage and reinstallation as well as the construction of a bored pile wall.
A foundation stone laying ceremony will take place before the planned start of the shell construction work on 22 June 2020. The date will be announced in good time.
