Traffic restrictions necessary on Schloßteichstraße
Excavation work to lay connecting pipes across Schloßteichstraße, directly adjacent to the Milchhäuschen, begins today. This is expected to require a half-sided closure of
17 November, Schloßteichstraße will have to be closed on one side with traffic lights.
The construction work is being carried out in preparation for the development of the Schloßteichinsel with sewage and drinking water for the planned use of the Schloßteichpavillon as a cabaret theatre with sanitary facilities.
Work carried out to date:
The work carried out to date on the stage roof of the castle pond pavilion is part of an overall refurbishment programme. As part of the roof renovation on the stage section, the roof structure and roof covering were renewed and the reinforced concrete ceiling in the eaves area was reworked. The stage roof was given a roof drainage system for the first time as part of the roof renovation. As a result of the stage roof work, the overall refurbishment services and project costs were updated and included in the further planning and execution phases. The refurbishment work on the stage component that had not yet been carried out was put out to tender at the beginning of the year. Some of these services could be commissioned, but as no company took part in the tender for the main construction services, the award had to be cancelled.
The outstanding renovation work for the two components "stage and side wings" at the castle pond pavilion are to be put out to tender again this winter. Once the contracts have been successfully awarded, the work is expected to begin in March 2019 and be completed within 2019.
