Eight trees have to be felled In the second quarter of this year, work will begin on the construction of a new basketball court in Konkordiapark on Leipziger Straße.
Last September, the city council decided to build an additional basketball court that meets international standards. In order to create the space for this, the existing court has to be relocated. Eight trees will have to be felled for this. The felling will take place during the vegetation-free period in February.
As a replacement, eight large-crowned deciduous trees with a trunk circumference of 16 to 18 centimetres will be replanted in Konkordiapark in late autumn 2024.
