Postal voting centre at Chemnitz City Hall open from today
All information on the OB election, polling station, applying for election documents also on the Internet at www.chemnitz.de/wahlen
The postal voting office for the mayoral election on 16 June 2013 is open from today (27 May) in the town hall, Markt 1. Here it is now possible to apply for a polling card and postal voting documents in person and to use instant voting, i.e. to cast your vote on the spot.
The postal voting office is open until Friday, 14 June 2013 at the following times
| Mondays, Wednesdays: | 08:30 to 16:00 |
| Tuesdays, Thursdays: | 08:30 to 18:00 |
| Fridays: | 08:30 to 12:00 |
| on Friday, 14 June 2013: | 08:30 to 16:00 |
In addition to applying for the documents in person and voting immediately at the town hall, it is also possible to apply for postal voting documents in writing using the application form on the back of the polling card or electronically at www.chemnitz.de/wahlen using the online application form provided there. By entering their address, eligible voters can use the polling station search function to display the exact location of their polling station and also receive information on whether this polling station is accessible.
All voters who apply for a polling card and postal voting documents for the mayoral election on 16 June 2013 will also automatically receive a polling card and postal voting documents ex officio in the event of a new election on 30 June 2013. These election documents issued ex officio will be sent automatically and exclusively by post. It is therefore essential to specify a delivery address for the documents in the event of a new election on 30 June 2013 when applying for postal voting documents for the election on 16 June 2013.
For new applications in the event of a new election, the postal voting office will be open again from 24 to 28 June 2013 during the above opening hours (on 28 June 2013 until 16:00).
