Possible easing from Friday or after Whitsun

Fortunately, the seven-day incidence is also falling in Chemnitz. It stands at 95.8 today.

If the incidence remains below 150 (or below 165) tomorrow, it will be below this limit for five consecutive working days. From the day after next, i.e. Friday 21 May, the following regulations will apply:

  • Schools (in the alternating model), daycare centres (with limited regular operation) and after-school care centres (in fixed groups) can reopen.
  • Click & Meet, i.e. shopping in retail shops with an appointment and proof of a daily negative test, will be possible again.
  • According to the state ordinance, individual lessons in art and music schools and individual lessons for fixed couples in dance schools are also permitted. The rules for contact tracing and proof of a negative daily test also apply here.
  • Leisure and play facilities will reopen

If the seven-day incidence remains below 100 until Saturday, 22 May, the following additional regulations will apply from Monday, 24 May or after Whitsun:

  • Primary and special schools as well as daycare centres and after-school care centres can operate on a limited regular basis (all other classes - except final year classes - will continue to be taught in the alternating model),
  • outdoor catering may reopen with contact tracing and, in the case of several households at one table, with proof of a daily negative test,
  • Museums, libraries, galleries, exhibitions, memorials, cinemas, theatres, stages, opera houses, concert halls, concert venues, music theatres and similar establishments may open to the public and hold cultural events outdoors. An appointment booking with documentation for contact tracing and proof of a daily negative test are also required.
  • Sport is permitted:
    • in groups of up to 20 minors in outdoor areas, including outdoor sports facilities,
    • non-contact sports on outdoor sports facilities,
    • non-contact sports on indoor sports facilities including gyms and similar facilities with proof of a daily negative test,
    • contact sports at outdoor sports facilities with proof of a daily negative test,
  • normal lessons are permitted at art and music schools, group lessons for fixed couples are permitted in dance schools. The rules for contact tracing and proof of a daily negative test also apply here.
