Population projection for the city of Chemnitz

On Thursday 25 August at 10.30 a.m., representatives of the media are invited to a press conference in City Hall, Room 118.
City Treasurer Ralph Burghart and Dr Reiner Hausding, head of the municipal statistics office of the City of Chemnitz, will present the new population forecast for the city up to 2035.
The current demographic development, particularly in terms of migration, is highly dynamic. While birth and death trends tend to be continuous from a demographic point of view, migration processes with inflows and outflows at municipal level can also be erratic within very short periods of time.
Various ways of analysing what attracts people to Chemnitz and what keeps them here are also presented.
