Political participation is a fundamental right, not a privilege!

Lecture on sex work and human rights on 5 December, 7 pm, Lokomov

On Friday, 5 December, from 7 to 9 p.m., interested parties are invited to a lecture on the connection between sex work and human rights principles at Lokomov, Augustusburger Straße 102.

Admission is free, donations to Daria - Fachberatungsstelle Sexarbeit and KOBRAnet are welcome.

In her lecture, historian Sonja Dolinsek M.A. (contemporary history) will address topics such as decriminalisation, labour rights, health, migration, the role of the police and political co-determination. She will shed light on what it means to apply human rights principles to sex work policy.

The event offers a platform for debate and education and invites all interested parties to engage with the challenges and opportunities of the political participation of sex workers from a historical perspective and with a view to current developments.

On the occasion of World Whores' Day, which was celebrated for the 50th time on 2 June 2025, the ChemNetz working group and the municipal equal opportunities officer Franziska Herold invite you to this informative lecture. International Whores' Day is a reminder of the discrimination and often precarious living and working conditions of sex workers.

Please note: The event originally planned for 29 August was cancelled due to illness and will now be rescheduled.
