Playground Park Schönau to be completed
Construction work begins on 26 September
On Monday, 26 September 2016, additional construction work will begin on the playground in Schönau Park. This is the City of Chemnitz's response to requests from residents of Schönau to improve the facilities at the playground in Schönau Park and, in particular, to create seating for parents.
The first work will be to set up the construction site, dispose of the old fall protection gravel and demolish two defective pieces of play equipment. A new double swing and a spring rocker will be installed.
New fall protection gravel will then be laid. The corners of the gravel surface will be raised by newly installed wooden sleepers, making them more inviting to sit on.
Completion of the new facility is planned for 30 September 2016.
It will be realised by the construction company Baumschule Hohenstein-Ernstthal GmbH. The construction costs amount to approx. 8,500 euros.
