Playground on Luisenplatz is reopened
Media representatives are cordially invited to attend on 1 August at 4 pm.
From 1 August, children can once again take possession of the playground on Luisenplatz. Mayor Michael Stötzer will officially open the playground on this day at 4 pm.
A new play combination consisting of three hexagonal play towers with a climbing net, climbing/sliding pole, slide, boulder wall and hanging ladder has been installed. Skilled children can also use a double slackline, learn to "fly" on a double swing and twist on the stainless steel carousel. Toddlers can try out the mini bird's nest swing, a spring seesaw and a ball seesaw.
Due to the sloping surface, the play equipment stands on a fall protection surface made of plastic material.
The preservation of the playground was confirmed as part of the "2015 playground concept" adopted by the city council in May 2014.
The planning and construction costs totalled around 155,000 euros. A third of this is being funded by the "Urban Redevelopment East" programme.
The planning office Kretzschmar & Partner from Dresden was commissioned with the planning. The construction work was carried out by Baumschule Hohenstein-Ernstthal GmbH.
