Work begins today on the partial renovation of the playground at the Sandweg/Am Rosenhag junction in Borna-Heinersdorf. Among other things, the old play equipment in the play area will be dismantled and replaced with new equipment.
In particular, a play tower with a slide and various climbing options will offer a variety of challenges and play opportunities for the children in the neighbourhood. The sandpit will also be rebuilt.
In order to preserve the valuable old trees surrounding the playground, the edging of the playground is to be retained and only minimal intervention in the existing structure is to be made.
Provided the weather conditions are favourable, the work will be completed before Christmas.
The total costs amount to around 58,000 euros and include both the landscaping work and the play equipment. The work is being carried out by Techno-Farm und Service GmbH.
