Playground completed - grass still needs to grow
The facility on Rödelwaldstrasse has been renovated
The construction work on the playground on Rödelwaldstraße has been completed. The facility had been restored since the beginning of June after it was damaged by a storm in 2022. The paths, grass and play areas have now been renewed.
However, the playground cannot yet be used. The newly created grass areas still need around six weeks to be laid. The playground is therefore expected to remain closed until 4 September 2023.
Worn or badly damaged play equipment was also replaced during the restoration of the facility. A double swing, a double spring rocker and a seesaw were newly installed.
The work was carried out by Grünbau Bad Schlema GmbH. The costs totalled around 30,000 euros.
