Playground at the park railway station is being renovated
The wooden railway in the playground at the park railway station in Küchwaldpark needs to be repaired and extensively renovated. In the course of regular inspections of the Chemnitz playgrounds by the Parks Department, damage was discovered that has now made it necessary to dismantle the wooden railway. The repairs will continue until around the end of April and will be carried out by the Parks Department at no extra cost.
Wood from trees that had to be felled for road safety reasons will be used to repair the railway - as well as for park benches and wooden panelling on litter bins.
The Parks Department asks for your understanding and recommends using the other playgrounds in Küchwald.
