Play and leisure centre in the Arno-Holz estate
Opening on 7 April, 3.30 pm - Invitation to the photo session
The new playground on Majakowskistraße will be opened on Friday, 7 April at 3.30 pm. A play and leisure facility with new play equipment, pathways, seating, lawns and planting areas has been created on an area of approx. 2000 square metres.
The new facility is the first construction phase of the new "Niederhermersdorfer Bachaue" green corridor, which will structure and enhance the newly emerging residential areas in Adelsberg (Arno-Holz-Siedlung).
The play equipment includes a scaffolding structure consisting of a hut, slide, climbing net and climbing pole as well as a sand digger, double swing and standing seesaw. New sand and fall protection areas were created for the play areas. Colourful seating cubes are integrated into the play areas.
The safety inspection by an expert for play equipment safety took place on 31 March 2017 and the playground was approved for use on 7 April 2017
The construction company was Tiefbau Böhm GmbH & Co KG GmbH, Chemnitz. The construction costs totalled around 86,200 euros. They were financed from development contributions.
Local residents have been closely following the planning and construction and want to inaugurate the playground with a small celebration. Representatives of the media are cordially invited to attend on 7 April 2017 at 3.30 pm. (Access via Majakowskistraße to the end at the green corridor)
