Planning the NUMICO mobility route
Online voting until 31 January for further upgrading of areas
Chemnitz residents are invited to help shape the pedestrian and cycle route between the Zeisigwald forest and the Sportforum, which bears the name NUMICO, online atnumic.city. Until Sunday, 31 January, you have the opportunity to choose your favourite area along the route from six suggestions, which should be upgraded in line with the project. The three options with the most votes will be further developed together with interested parties from February onwards.
The areas put forward for voting are located on Zeisigwaldstraße, Knappteich, Hans-Ziegler-Straße, Gablenzer Straße, the Bernsdorf bus stop and the southern end of Eislebener Straße. Registering on the numic.city website enables coordination and access to all future votes and participation procedures. Once the potential areas have been selected, they will be upgraded with ideas from the public. This is a further step in the design of the mobility route, which will be made tangible in the coming weeks by, among other things, providing pedestrian walkways at road crossings and benches.
From May 2021, the route between Zeisigwald and Sportforum, which was christened NUMICO by citizens last December, will become a real-life laboratory for active walking and cycling for a year. Public participation is still welcome - for sustainable mobility awareness along the mobility route.
