On Friday, 27 December, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., visitors to the Neumarkt will have the opportunity to show their solidarity with the city of Chemnitz in a photo campaign. Under the motto "My heart for ChemnitzCity", a photo box will be set up at the extended Christmas market in the "Hüttenzauber" area.
The campaign, which was launched by the "ChemnitzCity" initiative and the City of Chemnitz's business division, is embedded in the festive atmosphere of the extended Christmas market. Participation is free of charge. Two angels welcome visitors and invite them to take a special souvenir photo. The photos will be printed out directly and can be accessed digitally via a QR code. All photos submitted will also be displayed on a pinboard on site.
Anyone who then shares their photo on social media with the hashtag #chemnitzcity and a heart emoji will receive an exclusive keyring with the slogan "My heart for ChemnitzCity" as a thank you. These are limited to 500 pieces and symbolise the solidarity with the city. "This campaign is a wonderful opportunity to strengthen the community and revitalise our city centre at the same time. We cordially invite all Chemnitz residents and their guests to take part and show their love for Chemnitz," says Sylvia Stölzel, location coordinator of the "ChemnitzCity" initiative.
Background:
The "ChemnitzCity" initiative is committed to the revitalisation and attractiveness of Chemnitz city centre and is coordinated by the City of Chemnitz's Business Division. Through the initiative, more than 40 partners from the hotel industry, catering, retail, property owners and other advertising associations are already supporting a wide range of measures, campaigns and events.
The "Chemnitzer Hüttenzauber" will take place on Neumarkt from 27 December to 5 January.
