Pestalozzistraße daycare centre - outdoor area inaugurated
Today, the renovated outdoor area of the Pestalozzistraße 33 municipal daycare centre was inaugurated in the presence of Lord Mayor Sven Schulze.
The outdoor area with existing play equipment such as a nest swing, double tower with slide, climbing pole, various climbing nets and a V-shaped net bridge have been supplemented with additional play options. These include a new vehicle track with a planted island and vehicle garage, a new double bar, a new balancing post and balancing beam as well as a new digging pit. Thanks to a parents' initiative, a sensory trail has also been created for the children in the outdoor area.
The sheds and flowerbeds have been renovated and shrubs have been planted. An outdoor water tap was also installed. A new fence with a privacy screen was also erected.
The costs totalled around 85,400 euros and were financed exclusively from municipal funds. The construction work began in April 2022 and took around twelve weeks.
The outdoor area was planned by Bellis Landschaftsplanung Chemnitz and the work was carried out by Grünbau Aue-Bad Schlema.
