Pedestrian crossing at Mitte railway station completed
The pedestrian crossing over Stollberger Straße parallel to Reichsstraße directly at the bridge to the DB stop "Bahnhof Mitte" has been completed.
The crossing is connected directly next to the carriageway of Reichsstraße and runs for 6.25 metres over the track-running Stollberger Straße. As the Reichsstraße / Stollberger Straße junction is a signalised junction, a pedestrian traffic light was installed.
The companies Asphalt-Bau GmbH from Bernsdorf for the pavement construction, Lasch GmbH from Zwickau for the track construction work and Stührenberg GmbH from Gera for the traffic lights were commissioned to carry out the work. The costs for the construction work amount to around 125,000 euros, financed from the City of Chemnitz's own funds.
