Peace activist Norman Peach speaks at the VHS Chemnitz on World Peace Day
On Friday, 31 August, 7 to 8.30 pm, the Chemnitz Peace Groups and the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre are inviting you to a lecture with the well-known peace activist Norman Paech on the eve of World Peace Day 2018. The topic will be current wars and political conflicts, but in particular the still dramatic situation in Syria. The event will take place in the event hall of the TIETZ, 3rd floor, and participation is free of charge.
The World Day of Peace on 1 September each year commemorates the beginning of the Second World War. It is also a global reminder of peace - in a world that is still characterised by wars and violence today.
Norman Paech is a lawyer and professor emeritus of political science and public law. He was politically active for decades and played a key role in shaping the peace movement in Germany.
