On Wednesday, 5 March - Chemnitz Peace Day - from 4.30 to 5.45 pm, interested parties are invited to a panel discussion entitled "Peace - a European idea" in the City Hall, City Council Chamber.

Where bombs fell 80 years ago and nations were hostile to each other in the Second World War, the topic of reconciliation in Europe and peace in the world will be discussed today.
Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer, Dr Ekkehard Griep, Chairman of the German United Nations Association, The Very Reverend John Witcombe, Dean of Coventry Parish, and Tina Weinhold-Leiser, Head of International Project Management at F+U Chemnitz gGmbH, will take part in the panel discussion.
The event is jointly organised by the Saxon State Centre for Political Education and the City of Chemnitz.
