The Chemnitz Environmental Centre invites you to a panel discussion on 2 March 2017 at 7 p.m. in the TIETZ event hall with academics who have researched or presented studies on basic income, as well as activists who have extensive experience in social and political work on this topic. The speakers are Prof Adelheid Biesecker (attac network), Amira Jehira (Mein Grundeinkommen e.V.), Dr Wolfgang Strengmann-Kuhn (author) and Ronald Blaschke (Netzwerk Grundeinkommen).

The event is primarily aimed at interested parties who are already familiar with the concept of basic income and want to find out experts' opinions on current events in politics and society.

The growing media attention to the topic of basic income in recent years has led to a significant increase in interest and public debate. In Chemnitz, too, a working group, the Basic Income Network, has been working on this topic as part of Agenda 21.

The event is organised by the Environmental Centre, the Adult Education Centre and the Basic Income Network working group of Agenda 21.
