Passage under the Neefestraße bridge closed for two days
Shoring for the northern bridge structure is being installed
From 7 a.m. on Tuesday 21 May until 8 p.m. on Wednesday 22 May, the Im Neefepark road will be fully closed to traffic in the area of the passage under the Neefestraße bridge. The reason for this is that the supporting scaffolding for the northern bridge structure is being installed.
Neefepark can be reached from the city centre via Carl-von-Bach-Straße and Tuchschererstraße. The newly built southern ramp can be used from the landward direction. The traffic routing required during this time is shown in the attached overview.
Residents in Neefepark have been informed about the closure.
Background
- Neefestraße is being extensively renovated between the junction with the 72 motorway and the Südring. The overall project includes
- Replacement construction of the Neefestraße bridge over the Im Neefepark road,
- Extension of the single carriageway from Neefepark to Neefestraße in the direction of the city centre and
- carriageway renewal on Neefestraße between A72 and Südring in both directions.
The construction work began at the end of April 2023 and is expected to last until the end of 2024. The construction work is on schedule. Traffic will be diverted past the construction site during this time.
