Participants in the European Solidarity Corps are welcomed at City Hall

On Monday 13 November at 10 a.m., the EU Coordinator of the City of Chemnitz, Pia Sachs, will receive participants in the European Solidarity Corps at Chemnitz City Hall. The aim of the meeting is to provide information about the history of the city and its European work.
Representatives of the media are invited to attend. In addition to photos, there will also be the opportunity to interview the participants.
After a presentation on the city and its European work, there will be a guided tour of the town hall to provide insights into the city's history.
During the meeting, the young people from Europe will have the opportunity to socialise and exchange experiences about their various services in Chemnitz. They will be supervised during their assignments by fuu-sachsen ggmbh and solaris FZU.
Alesia and Tatiana come from Belarus. Alesia supports the international department at fuu-sachsen ggmbh and contributes to the further development of the projects there. Tatiana works in the field of social education and rehabilitation and supports people with limited opportunities in terms of personal and professional integration. Barbora from the Czech Republic studied inclusive education and works with children at the organisation's after-school care centre in Schönau.
The young people supported by solaris FZU come from Spain, France, Hungary and Turkey. Michelle from Spain works at the Kappelino after-school care centre and teaches an acrobatic dance course for children at the multi-generation house. Lorelei, a young French pastry chef, works at the adventure education centre in Küchwald and offers a pastry workshop at the multi-generational house. Sinem from Turkey supports the work of the solaris Treff children's and youth centre, where she has also set up a chess workshop. Pau from Catalonia works in the STEM area of the solaris environmental workshops and Kira from Hungary takes on tasks in the organisation's international work.
