Partial clearance of the Reichsstraße/ Annaberger Straße track crossing
Road users please note necessary restriction from Wednesday: left turn from Gustav-Freytag-Straße into Annaberger Straße only possible for public transport until the construction work is completed
On Wednesday (27 August) at around 6 p.m., the Reichsstraße crossing over Annaberger Straße will be partially opened. This means that the important city centre ring road will then be open to traffic with one lane in each direction. The traffic authority would like to point out that tailbacks cannot be ruled out during busy periods.
CVAG is responsible for carrying out the construction work and has scheduled the complete opening of the crossing for Tuesday, 23 September 2014. Until this date, track and road construction will be carried out on half the width of the crossing.
Please note: Road users should note that at the same time as the partial opening from Wednesday evening, it will no longer be possible to turn left from Gustav-Freytag-Straße into Annaberger Straße in a landward direction while the construction work continues here. Public transport is exempt from the ban.
The restriction is intended to allow traffic to flow as quickly as possible on Reichsstraße despite the ongoing construction work.
The one-way traffic regulation on Annaberger Straße in a landward direction, which is necessary during the construction work, must remain in place until October.
