Parking ticket machines are locked
Measure to protect against damage - from 28 December to 2 January
Once again this year, all municipal parking ticket machines will be locked over New Year's Eve. This has proved successful in previous years. The flaps are blocked so that fireworks cannot be ignited in the dispensing compartment of the machines, thus preventing costly damage. The parking ticket machines will be out of operation from 28 December 2018 to 2 January 2019.
As no parking tickets can be purchased during this time, a parking disc must be inserted when parking. The length of the permitted parking period can be seen from the car park signage and the labelling on the machines.
