Parking ticket machines are locked
Once again this year, the flaps of the dispensers on all municipal parking ticket machines will be locked over New Year's Eve. This has proved successful in previous years: To prevent fireworks from being set off in the dispenser compartment, the flaps are blocked to prevent costly damage. The parking ticket machines will be out of operation from Tuesday, 30 December 2014 until Friday afternoon, 2 January 2015.
As no parking tickets can be purchased during this time, a parking disc must be inserted when parking. The length of the permitted parking period can be seen from the signage in the car parks and the lettering on the machines.
