Parking regulations on Clausewitzstraße to be changed

From Monday, 17 February, the parking regulations on the side of the houses, which have been practised and tolerated for many years, will be changed on all three side streets of Clausewitzstraße - access roads to the blocks of flats - as they do not comply with road traffic regulations. The current use of the one-sided pavement by parked vehicles leads to severe restrictions, particularly in terms of pedestrian safety.

As the change to the parking regulations means that several parking spaces are no longer required, GGG, as the landlord, created replacement parking spaces at the end of 2019. This means that the change can now be implemented.

In order to improve safety and order in the entire residential area, the current semi-angled parking on the pavement (on the side of the building) will be changed to parking along the edge of the carriageway. Parking in front of house entrances will be prevented in future by applying boundary markings to ensure unhindered access and egress. The parking regulations on the embankment side in a vertical position will remain as before and will be legalised by parking space markings.

The tenants affected will be informed about the intended change by their landlord GGG, which was already posted in all building entrances on 24 January.

The public order office will carry out increased checks from 17 February. In the first week of enforcement (week 8), however, only notices with a further explanation of the change will be displayed. Warnings will only be issued from the second week (9th week).
