Over 4000 shrubs are planted in Niederrabenstein
From Monday, 21 October 2019, 4514 shrubs and hedges will be planted in Niederrabenstein and grasses from certified regional seed will be sown to create extensive permanent grassland.
The planting is a compensatory and replacement measure for the development of the "Wasserschänke" industrial and commercial area through the construction of "Röhrsdorfer Allee" on Leipziger Straße in the Röhrsdorf district.
The project is being realised by the company Steinbach & Richter GbR. The planting work should be largely completed by 15 December 2019. Remaining landscaping work is to be completed by 31 May 2020. The newly created vegetation areas will be maintained by the contractor until 30 October 2021.
The compensation area was planned by the Chemnitz-based firm HOLINGER Ingenieure GmbH, which has also been commissioned to supervise construction.
The total costs for planning, construction and planting services amount to approx. 121,000 euros.
