On Tuesday, 9 June at 1.30 pm, Lord Mayor Sven Schulze invites representatives of the media to a press conference in Room 118, City Hall, Markt 1.

Together with Jürgen Kabus, Director of the Chemnitz Industrial Museum, Josephine Hähnlein from the Sächsische Mozart-Gesellschaft e. V. and Cornelia Siegel, Head of European and International Relations/Protocol of the City of Chemnitz, they will give an outlook on the celebrations of the City of Chemnitz on the occasion of the 100th birthday of Chemnitz's honorary citizen Carl Horst Hahn.

Prof. Dr Carl Horst Hahn was born in Chemnitz on 1 July 1926 and, as an entrepreneur, visionary and promoter, has not only shaped the international automotive industry. He also made a decisive contribution to the development of Saxony and in particular to Chemnitz as an automotive centre. On 9 June 1994, the city of Chemnitz therefore made him an honorary citizen.
