Ornamental planting in Schönau Park to be renewed
Since yesterday, landscaping work has been carried out on the perennial planting in Schönau Park. The aim is to renew the existing, very patchy, older perennial planting by the pergola. Firstly, the soil will be replaced, then new attractive perennials will be planted, bulbs will be planted and the climbing roses will be supplemented.
The soil will also be replaced on the existing pavilion and a rope construction installed. This will then serve as a climbing aid for the newly planted climbing shrubs.
Subject to weather conditions, the work should be completed by mid-November.
The work will be carried out by the company Garten- und Landschaftsbau Gert Findeklee from Chemnitz, Röhrsdorf. The planning office GrünArt Ellen Kühnel from Chemnitz, which also provided the planning services, was commissioned with the local construction supervision.
The costs totalled 20,000 euros.
