Organisational information for the media on the special city council meeting on 16 December
On 16 December 2016, the Chemnitz City Council will hold a special meeting to decide on financial support for Chemnitzer Fußballclub e.V. (CFC). Due to the expected high level of public interest in the meeting and the desire for satisfactory reporting for all sides, we would like to provide you with some organisational information:
- As a general rule, media representatives require accreditation for photo or film and sound recordings of a City Council meeting. This is issued by the press office. Please bring your accreditation with you to the meeting on 16 December. Media representatives who do not yet have accreditation for City Council meetings should contact the press office (Tel. 0371/488-1531, e-mail: pressestelle@stadt-chemnitz.de) by 2 p.m. on Friday.
- A complete recording or the transmission of your own live stream is not possible even if you have valid accreditation.
- The City of Chemnitz has provided a livestream of the City Council meeting on the city's website since June 2016. This can be accessed at the start of the meeting and is then available for download for one month. Please note: For legal reasons, the number of simultaneous accesses is limited to 499. It is therefore possible that the livestream may be temporarily unavailable.
Please also note the following: The special city council meeting and the bill to be discussed are open to the public. Should legitimate interests of individuals be affected during the course of the meeting, a closed session may be required in accordance with the Saxon Municipal Code (Section 37 (1) sentence 1). Once the meeting has been held in camera, it remains so for the remainder of the agenda item and the associated resolution. In this case, the resolution would be announced after the resolution has been passed.
