Operation of the school planetarium still guaranteed

Two additional freelancers hired for the programme

The school planetarium at the Albert Schweitzer Secondary School will be open three days a week in future. Following staff shortages, two additional freelancers have been hired to support and maintain the programme. They will be able to organise guided tours for school classes on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. This ensures the continued operation of the school planetarium.

The honorary staff are employed by the City of Chemnitz on the basis of the all-day programme. The State Office for Schools and Education, Chemnitz site, has agreed an increase in working hours with the teacher currently working there exclusively for this purpose.
