Opening with animal film premiere: "The Night of the Goblins"
The first monthly event of the nature conservation service will take place on Tuesday, 27 January at 5 pm in the BVZ Moritzhof
The monthly events organised by the volunteer nature conservation service will begin in the new year on Tuesday, 27 January at 5 p.m. with a film event . After three years of filming, the Chemnitz-based animal filmmaker Reinhard Weidlich has completed his new film "The Night of the Goblins - The Secret Life of Dormice" and presents dormice, garden dormice and hazel dormice in detail, as well as several other animals that live in the same habitats. Incidentally, dormice are also called dormice and are a family of rodents.
Citizens are cordially invited to the film premiere, admission is free. As the organisers are expecting a particularly large number of visitors, the city's environmental department has chosen a different location this time: Visitors should therefore note that the film event on 27 January will therefore not take place in the Adelsbergstraße nature conservation station (the usual venue for the monthly events), but in the Moritzhof civic and administration centre, Bahnhofstraße 53 in room 647.
The monthly lectures and excursions offered by the voluntary nature conservation service will once again be organised and supported by the Lower Nature Conservation Authority in the City of Chemnitz's Environmental Agency in 2015. A total of five lectures, six excursions and the popular hands-on activities such as nest box building are on the agenda this year.
