Opening of the music school from 12 April
Modern new wayfinding system at the municipal music school
From Monday, 12 April, the Municipal Music School will open for individual lessons including wind instruments and singing (in compliance with a hygiene concept) subject to the development of the infection situation.
For music students aged 7 and over, a daily negative rapid or self-test is required. Music students who have already tested negative in the last test in the respective calendar week as part of the testing in schools can present the school's certification to the music school teacher. For adult students, an up-to-date test and its certification is still required.
It should be noted that no face-to-face lessons may take place without a confirmed test result. Furthermore, students may only enter the music school for lessons. Accompanying persons are still not permitted in the building. It is also still possible to take lessons online.
Modern new wayfinding system:
Pupils and teachers will notice significant changes in the corridors of the music school as they enter. Thanks to funding from the city and the Free State of Bavaria, an attractive and modern wayfinding system has been installed in the music school, which is fully labelled with Braille. People with visual impairments in particular benefit from this.
The small and larger panels in orange, red, light blue, dark blue and violet pick up on the colour concept of the concert hall. The colourful metal squares are intended to improve internal communication. The costs for this amount to around 37,000 euros, of which 14,000 euros are investment reinforcement funds from the Free State of Saxony and around 23,000 euros from the "Favourite places for everyone" investment programme for barrier-free construction.
