Opening of the indoor pools from Monday 14 June 2021

Club and school swimming in all Chemnitz indoor swimming pools possible again Public swimming in the Chemnitz municipal swimming pool during summer opening hours

From Monday 14 June, indoor swimming pools will also be allowed to reopen. All Chemnitz indoor swimming pools, i.e. the Gablenz indoor swimming pool, the Am Südring indoor swimming pool, the indoor swimming pool in the Sportforum and the Chemnitz municipal swimming pool, will be open from 14 June to 25 July for club activities and to ensure school swimming.

Public swimming is possible in the Chemnitz municipal swimming pool during the entire outdoor pool season with summer opening hours.

Special regulations of the Corona Protection Ordinance for the use of the city pool:

  • A maximum of 120 visitors may be in the 50-metre swimming pool at the same time
  • Contact tracing required
    • via Corona-Warn-App (recommendation according to the Saxon Corona Protection Ordinance)
    • in writing via form (to be filled out on site or available online)

QR codes are available in the building for registration via the Corona-Warn-App.

Registration via smartphone for access control and digital data collection is recommended, also to avoid queues.

The sauna in the Stadtbad is closed until 12 September 2021.

Participants of courses that have had to pause so far will be informed separately by the course instructors about the continuation options.

Despite the extensive regulations and user provisions, the Chemnitz pools are looking forward to welcoming numerous pool visitors. Please note that there may be temporary waiting times in the cash desk area due to the applicable Corona regulations, for which we ask for your understanding in advance.

The respective hygiene regulations of the operator and the club's own hygiene concepts must also be observed and adhered to for club and school swimming.
