Opening of the crèche at Rembrandtstrasse 13
Invitation to the press tour on 31 August, 11 a.m.
Tomorrow, Friday 31 August, the Rembrandtstraße 13 crèche will be opened in the presence of Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig, representatives of the building department, the Office for Youth and Family and the manager. Representatives of the media are invited to a press tour at 11 am.
The centre will be opened as a barrier-free crèche. It offers space for 100 children aged 0 to 3 years. 4.6 million euros have been invested in the centre at Rembrandtstraße 13.
The large windows ensure that the children always have a clear view of nature. The outdoor area is equipped with two different swings, seesaw animals, climbing facilities and a balance beam. There is also a barefoot path to explore. Sand play areas round off the varied programme.
The crèche will open next Monday. As soon as the children have settled in, the team will be organising an open day in December 2018. On this day, all interested parties will be given an insight into life at the crèche. The exact date will be announced in good time. Until then, the educators will furnish all rooms according to the children's needs and organise them together.
