Opening of Mittelbacher Dorfstraße playground
On Tuesday, 27 July at 10 a.m., Mayor Michael Stötzer will open the newly designed Mittelbacher Dorfstraße playground (at house number 39) in the Mittelbach district. Local residents, children and media representatives are cordially invited to attend.
The children can look forward to a play and climbing combination with a tower, which is completed with a playhouse, double swing and seesaw as well as a sandpit.
In a natural landscape design with a hill and trees, the playground offers a variety of play and activity options. It has also been enhanced with a large tree and twelve shrubs.
Construction work on the playground began on 4 March and the final inspection will take place on Monday 26 July. The construction costs totalled 55,000 euros.
The landscape architecture firm bellis Landschaftsplanung was commissioned with the planning and local construction supervision, while the company Gruenbau ltd. Bad Schlema carried out the work.
