Opening of Borna primary school
Invitation to the event: Monday, 22 October, 7.45 a.m., Wittgensdorfer Str. 121
On Monday, 22 October, the new Borna primary school at Wittgensdorfer Straße 121a will open its doors.
At 7.45 a.m. , pupils and teachers will make a symbolic move together with Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig from the old school building at Wittgensdorfer Straße 121 to the directly neighbouring new school building at Wittgensdorfer Straße 121a.
At 8 a.m. , Mayor Barbara Ludwig will officially hand over the keys to the new school building to the headmaster, Tilo Oeser. This will be followed by a small celebratory programme.
Representatives of the media are cordially invited to this event.
Borna Primary School will move into the building of the former school for the physically disabled. This school moved to the Terra Nova Campus on Sonnenberg back in 2016.
The new Borna primary school accommodates 142 children in eight classes (grades 1 to 4), including two classes (32 pupils) in preparatory classes for children of ethnic German immigrants and foreigners. A total of ten teachers work at the school.
