Opening hours of the outdoor pools during the summer holidays
Summer opening and closing times of the indoor pools
In the main season, i.e. during the school holidays from Saturday 6 July, the outdoor pools are open from 10 am to 8 pm. In the low season from 11 am to 6 pm. If the weather is exceptionally fine, the pools may stay open longer in the evenings during the low season. The pool may also open earlier in the morning. This decision is made by the pool staff, depending on the weather conditions and operational readiness.
During the outdoor pool season in the school holidays, maintenance and repair work is carried out in the indoor pools, as is the case every year. Their annual closing times are preferably used for this purpose. To support the municipal swimming clubs, which are restricted in their preparation for competitions due to the summer closing times of the indoor pools, and for bathers who would also like to use an indoor pool during the summer school holidays, special opening times will also be offered in 2019 in the municipal pool for public use and training.
Stadtbad Chemnitz has the following special opening times:
50-metre hall from 17 June to 8 July and from 29 July to 18 August
25-metre hall from 9 July to 28 July
Monday 2pm to 9pm
Wednesday 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Sunday 9 am to 3 pm
(Last admission is one hour before closing time)
The sauna is closed from 10 June to 15 September 2019. The solarium is open during the opening hours of the 25 and 50 metre halls.
Indoor swimming pool "Am Südring"
The "Am Südring" indoor swimming pool will be closed to the public from 10 June to 1 September 2019. Outside the school holidays, the indoor swimming pool can be used by clubs and schools.
Gablenz indoor swimming pool
The Gablenz indoor swimming pool is closed to the public from 10 June to 1 September 2019. From 10 June to 23 June and from 19 August to 1 September 2019, the indoor swimming pool can be used by clubs and schools.
