Opening and closing times of Chemnitz city authorities at the turn of the year
The authorities of the City of Chemnitz, where personal visits by citizens are possible or necessary, are open as follows between the public holidays:
All authorities of the Citizens' Office are open regularly. Depending on capacity, spontaneous consultations are also possible at the registration office and the vehicle registration office, as well as at the registry office and the lost property office. Nevertheless, we recommend making an appointment via the service number 115. In the driving licence authority and the foreigners and citizenship authority, consultations are generally only possible by appointment.
The citizen service centres are also open as normal. Only the Grüna citizen service centre will be closed on 29 December 2022.
The customer portal in Moritzhof will be open on 29 December from 8.30 am to 12 noon and from 2 pm to 6 pm for clients of the Social Welfare Office and the Youth Welfare Office without an appointment.
The following offices of the City of Chemnitz Office for Health and Prevention are open for clients and patients:
- Pregnancy conflict counselling on 29 December from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m,
- social medicine on 27 December and 29 December from 9 am to 2.30 pm,
- Psychosocial tumour counselling on 29 December from 9 am to 3 pm.
The social psychiatric service and the addiction counselling service are open and available as normal.
Prior appointments are requested in all areas.
In addition, the services in the Office for Health and Prevention can be reached as follows
- the paediatric and youth medical service from 27 to 29 December from 7 am to 2 pm and on 30 December from 6.30 am to 1 pm,
- the General Infection Protection/Municipal Hygiene Service from 27 to 29 December from 8 am to 1 pm and on 30 December from 8 am to 12 pm,
- Tuberculosis care on 29 December from 7 am to 3.30 pm and on 30 December from 7 am to 1 pm.
The public health service will be closed from 22 December to 1 January.
