Open Sundays decided for 2024
At its meeting today, Chemnitz City Council decided that there will be the following district-specific open Sundays next year:
- On Sunday, 10 March 2024, in the Röhrsdorf district
Limited to the sales outlets of the Chemnitz Centre, the Chemnitz-Park Röhrsdorf industrial estate and Chemnitzer Straße 2 and 6, sales outlets may open between 12 noon and 6 p.m. on the occasion of the "Spring Stroll Market with 20th anniversary of Miteinander statt Gegeneinander e. V." event.
- On Sunday, 6 October 2024, in the Röhrsdorf district
Limited to the sales outlets of the Chemnitz Centre, the Chemnitz-Park Röhrsdorf industrial estate and Chemnitzer Straße 2 and 6, sales outlets may open between 12 noon and 6 p.m. on the occasion of the event "Erlebnisjahrmarkt mit Jubiläum 105 Jahre FV Blau-Weiß Röhrsdorf 19 e. V.".
- On Sunday, 3 November 2024, in the Sonnenberg district
Limited to the Sachsen-Allee shopping centre, sales outlets may open between 12 noon and 6 p.m. on the occasion of the "Chemnitzer Spieletage".
- On Sunday, 1 December 2024, in the city centre district
In the city centre district, sales outlets may open between 12 noon and 6 p.m. on the occasion of the Chemnitz Christmas Market.
- On Sunday, 15 December 2024, in the city centre district
In the city centre district, sales outlets may open between 12 noon and 6 p.m. on the occasion of the Chemnitz Christmas Market.
The regulation is based on the Saxon Shop Opening Act, which authorises the opening of sales outlets on special occasions.
