Open Garden Day at the Intercultural Garden in Chemnitz
Under the motto " Sowing the future - preserving diversity!", the Intercultural Garden (Franz-Mehring-Straße 39 in 09112 Chemnitz) is hosting an "Open Garden Day" on Friday, 20 September from 3 pm .
The programme includes a market in the afternoon, where regional suppliers will present agricultural products and a seed and plant exchange, as well as a lecture by Jürgen Holzapfel on the topic of "Protecting biodiversity - preserving seeds" from 6 p.m. (also in the garden grounds, in case of rain in the house at Horst-Menzel-Straße 5).
The Open Garden Day is being organised jointly by the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre, the Chemnitz Local Agenda 21/Environmental Centre and the "Bunte Erde" intercultural garden association(www.bunteerde.de).
