On Saturday 3 October, from 10 am to 1 pm, Chemnitz City Library will be opening its doors – despite it being a public holiday – and inviting children and families to a special morning with the ‘Türen auf mit der Maus’ event.
Participation is free of charge and no booking is required. Anyone interested can simply drop by and join in.
Under the title “No such thing as miracles? Not a chance!”, the event takes participants on a journey into the wonderful world of stories: magical adventures, a quest for clues in the world of wizards, a green-screen trip to fantastical places and fascinating water experiments await visitors.
Background:
‘Türen auf mit der Maus’ was launched in 2011 to mark the Mouse’s 40th birthday. Co-ordinated by WDR, this event – in which more than 850 organisers took part in 2025 – takes place annually on 3 October and offers children, families and ‘Die Maus’ fans exclusive insights into the work of companies, public authorities, associations and institutions.
