Press portal PressReader is now available to all users of Chemnitz City Library
The online press portal PressReader is now available as a new service for users of Chemnitz City Library. PressReader offers libraries and their users access to more than 7000 newspapers, magazines and journals from all over the world. The content is available to everyone simply by logging in with the user number and password of a valid library card. Access is via the city library's homepagewww.stadtbibliothek-chemnitz.de, www.pressreader.com or via the PressReader app.
The offer includes numerous lifestyle and special interest titles, such as Bunte, ColorFoto, Connect, Auto Zeitung, PC-Welt, Stereoplay, Wohnidee, Vogue, Handelsblatt, Cosmopolitan or the US American Newsweek. The international press is also represented with Business Spotlight, Le Figaro, The Guardian, The Washington Post, Hürriyet, Neue Zürcher Zeitung and Iswestija.
The individual titles, each with a 90-day archive, are available in their original layout with adverts, photos and illustrations and can be searched in full text. The newspaper articles can also be listened to and translated into various languages using an integrated tool.
