Official opening of the Am Harthwald play and leisure centre

Press invitation: Wednesday, 29 May, 9.30 a.m., entrance Am Harthwald 96

On Wednesday 29 May at 9.30 a.m., Mayor Michael Stötzer will officially open the renovated Am Harthwald play and leisure facility. Representatives of the media are cordially invited to this event.

The "Am Harthwald" play and leisure centre consists of two renovated sections. In the northern section, the ropeway on the meadow area has been renewed and new benches have been installed. The climbing net has been retained.

The southern area was completely redesigned, including a four-person seesaw, a swing combination with nest swing and the climbing combination with play tower, slide and climbing net. Adjacent to this, the small-sided goals on the ball playing area were replaced with two new ones. Bicycle racks, benches and litter bins round off the new equipment.

To replace the felled poplars, ten trees, eight ornamental cherry trees 'Schloss Tiefurth' and two ornamental cherry trees 'Kanzan', were replanted.

The total cost was around 220,000 euros.

The measure was funded by the "Bridges to the Future" programme (federal budget) and co-financed by tax revenue on the basis of the budget approved by the members of the Saxon state parliament.
