Numerous employees of the City of Chemnitz take part in the Chemnitz company run
The City of Chemnitz is taking part in this year's Chemnitz company run on 2 September 2015 with 113 starters, meaning that more colleagues from the city administration are taking part in this running event than ever before.
The City of Chemnitz has participated with many runners every year since 2010. Participation has increased steadily. In 2013, there were already 64 starters on behalf of the city.
This year's 113 starters are divided into 72 women and 41 men from almost all areas of the city administration. The Citizens' Office is the most represented with 16 runners. Five of the city's trainees will also be taking part.
The City of Chemnitz is paying the entry fees as part of its company health management programme.
"I am very pleased about the high level of participation of our employees in this city centre event, as it shows how important sporting activity and health are to our colleagues. I would like to thank the organisers for their commitment and of course hope for good results for the many city participants," said the new mayor Sven Schulze.
