Nominations for the city council and local council elections on 9 June 2024 in Chemnitz admitted

The City Election Committee for the local elections on 9 June At its meeting today, the election committee for the local elections on 9 June 2024 approved the following nominations from parties and voter associations for the city council elections in Chemnitz and the local council elections in the localities of Einsiedel, Euba, Grüna, Klaffenbach, Kleinolbersdorf-Altenhain, Mittelbach, Röhrsdorf and Wittgensdorf (in each case in ballot paper order):

City council election:

  1. Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU) with 67 candidates
  2. Alternative for Germany (AfD) with 38 candidates
  3. DIE LINKE (The Left Party) with 33 candidates
  4. Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) with 94 candidates
  5. Alliance 90/The Greens (GRÜNE) with 96 candidates
  6. Free Democratic Party (FDP) with 62 candidates
  7. Party for Labour, Rule of Law, Animal Welfare, Promotion of Elites and Grassroots Democratic Initiative (Die PARTEI) with 14 candidates
  8. Citizens' Alliance for Solidarity (BBS) with 7 candidates
  9. Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance - Reason and Justice (BSW) with 8 candidates
  10. PRO CHEMNITZ/FREIE SACHSEN citizens' movement (PRO CHEMNITZ & FREIE SACHSEN) with 55 candidates
